Are you a lover of urban art? Discover the other side of Athens on this tour of the Psyri neighbourhood, where graffiti takes centre stage.

What to Expect

At the time indicated, we'll meet on Athinas Street, in the heart of the Psyri neighbourhood, to begin the graffiti tour, a stroll through one of the more alternative areas of the Greek capital.

On this 2-hours tour around this area of the city, you'll discover the urban art that has been brought to life as a result of these social and political revolts, a key aspect of what has made the neighbourhood of Psyri so popular among tourists in recent years, that visit the area in order to understand the recent history of Athens. In addition, it's full of taverns and cafes where you can take a break.

Then, we'll head to Omonoia, another great neighbourhood. Here, we'll see some of the oldest and most famous murals in Athens. Along the route, we'll talk about the different socio-economic factors of the crisis, that have affected urban culture and local artists over the last few years.

We'll continue our tour to Metaxourgeio, where we'll find graffiti that today decorates the walls of this central area in Athens. Moreover, we'll pass cafes and second-hand shops which perfectly combine with the protest posters that adorn the streets of the area.

The tour will finish after 2 hours in Athens's most alternative neighbourhoods.
